That's me, in my back yard. Sans kids! That doesn't usually happen. :) And in Wisconsin without snow in the picture! A more accurate photo would be me carrying and/or herding three kids to the car while trying to make sure nobody falls on the ice...ha. But, I like this one so much better!! I'm a stay at home mom to three kiddos, ages 5 and under...two precious sons and a beautiful daughter. We love simple, ordinary days together, while I marvel at how quickly the time has flown since our third child was born!
As you can see...I love girly-girl things, floppy hats, babies, Amy Butler fabric, ballerina buns and french braids, the rampant use of ellipses, Uggs in the winter and flip flops in the summer, reading, dresses, Victorian houses and making things. Being on vacation with me would involve sipping tea (or wine!) on the patio and then hitting up a few yarn and antique shops. Rarely a day passes without somebody being creative in our house...it's in the genes! My grandmothers, mother and aunts all love to sew, quilt, knit and create as a part of everyday life, not just a sometimes hobby. The guys in our family (including my hubby) are a bunch of DIY'ers too! I can't imagine life any other way.
Otherwise, our family has a very low-key lifestyle and we try to relax as much as possible with three children underfoot! Part of this is because I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis as a child and have undergone three back surgeries since age 19, including a spinal fusion a few years ago. I don't let my limitations define me.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need." Psalm 23
I try to remind myself of that verse when I'm antiquing, but I'm only human! ;)
Welcome to my blog! So glad you stopped by. :)
